| ->> Loved the story posted on SS about Jon Soohoo night. The story failed to mention something though. My favorite Soohoo memory happened close to 20 years ago. VJ Lovero had a bar-b-que gathering for photographers from around the country that contributed to Upper Deck. Thearon Henderson, Jon, myself and a couple of others wandered over to a park where there were a bunch of young studs playing pick up basketball after lunch. With a belly full of beer and brisket, we took over the court and held it for several game until we were too exhausted to continue. All I had to do is feed Thearon the ball underneath or dish it out to Jon where he nailed jumper after jumper. Yes, believe it or not the guy had some serious roundball skills at one point! Anyway Jon is one of the really great guys that I have had the pleasure of working with and getting to know over the years. Congrats Jon! You deserve it! |

->> Layne- thanks for sharing this terrific story about Jon!
The famous Lovero Group photographers meeting (softball game, BBQ, van ride to Carlsbad, etc.) in August of 1992 was truly an historic gathering of photographers- that was when I first met you!
Jon can definitely play. Anything he wants. |
