Ironman World Champs in Kona

->> For those heading to Kona to cover the Ironman World Championship beware of the new restrictions regarding photography. We now have limited course access due to Ironman using Endura Pix for photo distribution. Basically if we can walk to it we can shoot it. 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and a 26.4 mile marathon, plus finish line access is restricted as well to certain media and to a certain area. Good luck on coverage! I am looking for feedback to see what we can do. I am a wire service shooter and I hope this does not heavily impact I or the rest of us shoot at this event.

Photographers interested in shooting for EnduraPix at this year’s Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3 and for 2011 events should submit portfolios to Info@EnduraPix.com

->> Yup, a little disappointing to hear that we'll no longer have finish line access from the ground. I just hope they have a better arrangement at the hot corner, as it was a mess last year. Having to compete for a spot with spectators makes it difficult to do your job! Definitely not enjoying the way this seems to be going, and the agency I shoot for doesn't like it either. Hugh, let's inundate Jessica with emails!

->> Hi Bruce, unfortunately this goes way above Jessica. Word on the street is this is how all Ironmans will go. I feel sorry all the international press that already made arrangements to fly over here.
