->> Hi
Is it possible to resize images in PM fro 1 to 2 Mbs only, when I re-size images in PM some are 800KB, other are about 2 mbs, and some are 3 Mbs
I need photos from 1 to 2 Mbs (camera pics are about 4 to 8 Mbs)
Some photos are full images, other pics are crops....
I know when you save photo as (you can move the quality bar to show you a size number)

->> The file size is going to be determined not only by the dimensions of the image and the compression you use, but by the image itself -- lots/little detail, many/few colors/tones, etc. I think all you can do in PM is save to a specified "box size", but not a specific file size.

->> Michael,
So far this feature isn't in PM. Hopefully one day. Trust me, I have asked.
If you like this feature, go to the feature request on the forum and post that it is something you like. Maybe if we get enough then we might get this feature.
One can dream...

->> Why does the file size of the file matter? Shouldn't you care more about the size of the image, like 3000px vs 2000px?

->> Craig,
Personally I would agree with you, but a few of the agencies look for the file size to be in between a certain range. For the look of the image changes the file size when it comes to compression. so 1 image that is 3000X2000px can be 1.3mb and another could be .8mb. They will look at the .8mb file and say you could send a bigger file. Even though there is no difference in size.
Just the way people look at the files.

->> Craig...one of those stupid agencies..is Sports Illustrated. They dont want any images under 1mb or over 2mb. So....if you wanna play in that arena, you play by their rules...or they can just print everything from getty...oh wait, they almost do that now huh??? hahahahahah but yeah, it would be a VERY useful tool if you could just set the range and let PM save as needed to accommodate that size range. I'm sure its doable. Just like the Rotateable crop tool....duh, how can you not have such a basic function on the crop tool. Oh well, all we can do is keep on asking.

->> HEy guys, I just added that request to the camera bits forum.
If you guys could chime in and add some support, it is much more likely to get implemented.
Its at http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=5815.0
