->> I am sure there are plenty of large hard drives and cf cards to accommodate such a file.
However how will the Canon lenses hold up ? |

->> Yep ... better have a pouch full of very high capacity cf cards for that sensor ... 120MP at 9.5 frames per sec .... that's a lot of data ..... yielding a 44"x30" image at 300ppi ... I guess that would be enough for newsprint and the web .... :-)
It's amazing how technology advances ... |

->> I'd wait till they put it in a camera before buying any new cards. Unless they have found a way to suppress the noise that high density/super small photosites create this will have a VERY limited application.
Maybe they can couple 4 or 5 sites into one large pixel when the sensor is being used for stills to overcome noise at higher iso's?
Until it's in a camera it's just a neat chip. |

| ->> This would be great for a telescope/camera in orbit, but getting it into position requires a bit more than super clamps and gaffer's tape :) |
