->> Debra,
I've shot tons of regattas. Where will the race take place. That has a lot to do with how wet you'll get. Also, is it a motor boat regatta or sailing regatta? Motor boat regattas tend to throw a ton of mist in the air. Finally, it depends on the location of where you, in the chase boat will be (anchored in the middle of an oval for an offshore APBA race or at a turn mark of a sailing race)

Also, do you mean this boat:

Otherwise feel free to email me offline from my member page or call. I'm happy to help you.

->> HI Chris,
it is a sailing regatta along the Hudson River in NYC. I believe the Greyhound is the boat you had the link for but I was told it also goes fast.
I am hoping I, and my equipment, don't get too wet!

->> Unless it rains, you should be fine. It's certainly worth taking your rain gear however on a boat that large, you should have enough room to stay away from any wet areas. Odds are, you'll be at the turn marks and starting line. There's a lot of action at the leeward mark usually. You'll get some really nice action shots there. Especially if the crews are dousing their spinnakers.
