I still have a few things I need to tweak, and If you guys have any critiques about my specific site let me know. But in general I just wanted to give a big thumbs up to aphotofolio.com. Definitely check them out if you are looking for a site refresh.

-HUGE full screen photos
-inline video galleries instead of popups
-iPad, iPhone, and HTML shadow sites
-a ton of backend options for customizing the look
-Amazon S3 support for displaying client galleries
-HTML 5 iPad portfolio

| ->> Works for me... The wedding portfolios are really long and I'm having trouble getting a sense of who you are as a photographer. Show me a couple of shots that make you, you (as opposed to a lot of cool shots that say "I'm a good photographer") |

| ->> I switched my site (http://www.photoreporters.net) a few months back from sitewelder to aphotofolio and have to echo Joshua's positive comments about aphotofolio. There are so many options to customize your site that it will make your head spin . . . luckily customer support is first-rate. |

->> @andrew | I updated the DNS record 4 days ago, so I thought it was done propagating, but I guess maybe not. let me know if you get it online.
@israel | I totally agree about the length. its a tough call. a lot of brides seem to have an insatiable desire to see more (like many of them email me just to see a few more galleries) but photo friends always want to see a tighter edit. I am going to break it down into smaller chunks at some point though. and also add sections for individual weddings and links to entire weddings from my photoshelter archive....and a wordpress blog. right now I am just focused on getting the framework and design locked in.
@pj . have you signed up for the aphotoclient.com add on? if so, does it work well for you? |

Haven't signed up for aphotoclient . . . It's an interesting idea, though. |

| ->> After barking incessantly about how great NeonSky is (and they are) I had not seen this. Hmmmm... GREAT stuff! But $1,000 is a bit steep. Then again, $17 a month is way reasonable. This I may have to consider... |

->> I'm very happy with my aphotofolio.com site. Service has been good and they were on top of it when it came to HTML5 support on the iPad.
BTW, viewing the sites on Android 2.2 Flash compatible phones is impressive. Contrary to what one major manufacturer says, Flash can work just fine on a mobile device... |

| ->> Joshua - I finally got on from my computer, however, when I try to access it on my iPad - it takes me to: www.somedomain.com - this could be due to the fact that this is a Flash site - and we all know how apple products and flash get along. |

->> It looks good, but I also gave up waiting for the images to load.
I think the number of images per gallery might be too much. |

->> really? there are definitely issues with the videos on a lot of peoples connections, but the photos seem to load up pretty quickly for most people. it passed the grandmother broadband test :) they are compressed to around 150k-250k each right now.
Its loading perfectly on my machine here, but I do have a 50 MBit download connection. thanks for the feedback. this is the kind of info I need before I link it to clients.
did the site load at all? or just slowly? |

->> The site loaded fine.
It just seemed to take a lot of time loading between images.
The info pages were also fine as far as time loading.
I didn't check out the movie pages. |

->> The still photos loaded okay. Teetering on too long for me. The work was good enough to keep me wanting more.
The video started quickly then hung. I bailed out.
Nice work though.
I just recently used a new Graph Paper Press theme called Widescreen. I host the images in SmugMugPro.
It's totally HTML and iPhone/iPad compatible without a shadow site.
Not to mention it only costs me $150 per year plus hosting.
