->> I have a few files from the same shoot, where I can't get the audio to come through my Mac tower's speakers (inside the tower, not external), only through headphones or speakers plugged into the headphone jack.
I have tried both the file straight off the card and the file converted to Apple DVCPRO HD 720p60, no change. Same thing happens during playback in Final Cut Pro. I tried exporting a clip out of FCP, but the resulting .mov file has the same problem. At all times, audio meters are active, but the audio is not coming out. As far as I can tell, my shoot setting were the same as the other 200 hours I have on this camera to this point, but I've never had this occur and my attempts to recreate the results have been unsuccessful.
Sound does comes out of the computer speakers during FCP playback of other 5d mark ii files or any other use of audio, just these files are affected.
The problem seems isolated to Mac towers, as I have been able to get these files to play audio through internal speakers on an iMac. I didn't change my settings (that I know of) from the previous shoot, to this shoot, or the shoot after that. Both shoots before and after do not have this problem.
I shot this with a 3-month-old 5D Mark ii, beachtek DXA-SLR and Sennheiser G3 wireless mics.
I'd be willing to email a file to anyone willing to take a closer look.
Thanks,
Mike |
