Since I'm a big fan of everything aviation and have a few friends that work as ATC (air traffic control) and commercial pilots, I thought I'd share this site. Type in your favorite airport code to listen to pilots & ATC (air traffic control) tower, ground, departure, etc. frequencies. I've flown jump seat in aircraft ranging from military & civilian helicopters, Cessna's, a Gulfstream V, military C-130 & C-141's, to cargo DC-9's, L-1011's & cargo 747's, as well as just about every commercial aircraft flying today, including a Russian Antonov-12 (similar to our C-130) into Afghanistan. I ocassionally listen to KEWR (Newark), KJFK (JFK) and KLAX (Los Angeles) and save the feeds into iTunes. Talk about a stressful job these controllers have - particularly during their "rush hours..." Awaiting Fish's reply to this post as well. *(grin.) ~cg. |

| ->> I know this is an old post Chet ... but I just had to comment. LiveATC has been one of my favorite places to listen to "chatter" among pilots and ATC for a while now. Being an aviation nut myself, I love listening to this stuff anytime I can. Heck, I've even downloaded a streaming app for my phone so I can listen to it on the go! |
