->> Tai Shimizu, creator of the ipad app Filterstorm, just released today an update that looks really promising for those of us who transmit from the field.
It looks like you can now add a bunch of metadata, and he's increased the file size to a newspaper publication-quality size. I've done a first look writeup on:
www.ipadapalooza.com
I'll take it into the field over the next couple of days -- I have a few freelance gigs coming up -- to see how it works out; the featureset looks pretty enticing.
I have no connection to the developer -- I've just been playing with earlier versions of this app for a while and like it. |

I have been using the Beta versions of Filterstorm for a few weeks now, including having used them for a deadline on-site job. The App performs very well.
While it is not Photoshop or Photo Mechanic, it is $3.99 and works on the iPad. The time and space/weight reduced by using the iPad is fantastic! |

->> And now for some really good news regarding Filterstorm. Vers 2.5, which should be released in the next week or two, is compatible with the iPhone (video: http://vimeo.com/14910903 ). This brings editing, captioning and ftp capabilities to the iPhone. If you shoot to a SD card, you can access the card with a Zoomit SD reader for the iPhone ( http://www.zoommediaplus.com/ ).
