->> That was a great catch!
Everyone at Hammons Field was treated to an awesome catch last month by Double-A Springfield Cardinals right fielder, Antone DeJesus.

->> That's one heck of a catch. If you think about it, there have to be a confluence of several things for this to occur. First of all, the fielder has to be willing to go for a ball like this rather than watching it sail over the fence. Second, it has to be hit in exactly the right place. Thirdly the wall/fence has to be "climable" - short enough for the fielder to reach over, and constructed to allow the fielder to bound up the wall - many MLB parks aren't. Fourthly, the fielder has to have the athletic ability to actually pull it off.
All in all, pretty remarkable. I'm with you, Tim. I want to see the still photo of this catch. |

| ->> Actually I think I like the DeJesus catch more. Much higher wall to climb and he timed it perfectly. Both catches were pretty spectacular. |

->> That was some good jump air.
Just goes to show you don't need to shoot pro sports for good action photos. |

| ->> Well... you learn something everyday. After I posted the link and looked at it again, it occurred to me; What would she be doing chasing a ball like that anyway? Wouldn't happen... Good clarification, Dennis. It was fun to watch anyway. |

| ->> Phil, that is exactly what I thought. I've been to hundreds (probably thousands) of baseball games in my life and never, ever, have seen a ball person run after a ball while the play was still underway. This caused me to go onto Snopes where I found the "False" statement. |

| ->> The still image that I saw, of the Japanese catch, was to tight and thus did not put it in the whole context of how great that catch was. |
