Stunning color images from the post depression era

They are from a Denver Post blog that describes them thusly: "These images, by photographers of the Farm Security Administration/Office of War Information, are some of the only color photographs taken of the effects of the Depression on America’s rural and small town populations."
Very enjoyable viewing.

After seeing a couple on there I really liked, I went to the Library of Congress' site and d/l several of the Chicago ones, one for a print for my wall and a couple others for a friend who's a big train buff. Nice file sizes, 75-100 mb for a tiff, the neg borders have been scanned, makes for great prints. |
