->> You may have Kodachrome, but the problem is sole K14 plant is likely to be turned in to a Chuck E. Cheese in the not to distant future. If I were you, I would call that plant ASAP to find out when they plant to go dark.
...
Strangely enough, this just reminded me that I have 25 Unicolor Rapid E-6 kits sitting in a storage garage along with 200 bricks of Velvia and Provia. It's been ten years since I even thought about it.
I guess I should go buy an EOS 1V on Ebay for $5 to play with it. |

->> It's Dwaynes that is the only place left to get Kodachrome developed, and they will no longer accept rolls after December 30th, 2010. They are not closing shop, just shutting down Kodachrome development operations.

I'm sure someone will find a way to process it by hand in their basement after that point, but I'm sure it won't be cheap. |

Not going to be easy, not going to be consistent!!
The K-14 Process is a Bitch!!
Kodachrome is a B&W Film!! Color Dyes and Color Couplers are added in the Process!! And there is a step in K-14 in which a portion of the Emulsion is Physically removed or scraped off!! Not an easy process to do at home. Well, unless you want to buy the K=14 machine from Kodak or Dwayne's... They might want to sell it cheap!! Heck, I would bet that there's a few Dip & Dunk E-6 Machines out there you can buy for Scrap Prices....
Y
PS, I still remember shooting Kodachrome 120 on my Hassy in Downtown Dallas in the mid 80's!! That was some outstanding Medium Format Film!! |

I thought it was fun to photography him with a Leica and Tri-X under that banner; because I also shot the banner for the supplement company and that was shot with a Leaf Medium Format Digital Camera, 33mpx. So kind of both directions of photo technology. |
