.me Domain Should we Get them?

->> Folks If any of you had a good chunk of $$$ to burn how important is to get any of those .me domains?
they are like $30 per domain.
Investment wise and if the names are strong would that be a good buy or a waste of money?
Any thoughts from the high tech folks in here.

| ->> looks like you could pickup one on go daddy for about $9. Seems worth it to me. While .me doesnt have a lot of high profile recognition yet it is one of the fastest growing top level domains so if the names are strong I think it would be a solid investment. |

->> Soon, the "top level" domains of .com, .org, etc. will be not necessary.
So soon, you could have www.Man.Pag or www.p.fal - if things continue on their current path, so all those domain name squatters who bought iPhone.com as speculation... not so much.

->> Well good thing I ask and thanks for your responses. A couple yrs ago one night tired and bored after a shoot and drinking some wine I bought close to 200 of them from Godaddy.
So if you are ever bored and drinking wine or beer dont buy anything.
Now is close to renewing it and wanted to know if I should held them or let it go.
For the .me cost was more than the .com and now Godaddy is charging me $30 for two yrs. But of course it cost $$$ keeping them and didnt want to be holding unto a lemon or not knowing who or where to sell it.
But if somehow I am able to sell one for 100K or 200K then you all will be the first one to know. And if I sell one for a 1M I will buy you all a beer. But I may have a better chance if I start playing the Lotto.

->> Interesting people are looking at ".me" domains, as this is the County Domain designator for Montenegro, which previously used ".yu" for Yugoslavia.
Using .me is like using .ca, .co.uk, .jp, etc, at least that is how I see it.
Are you doing business in Montenegro or establishing a business in Montenegro? If not, you might want to reconsider using .me domains. |

Ian, yes but am calling them right away.
Phil, last time I heard that word was from an ex and she wasnt too happy :) When a guy calls a another man an animal is a cool thing yet when a woman uses that word then is time to start running fast.
Re a photoshoot am working on a possible adv shoot in your alley. But client keeps playing ping pong. It should be a fun celeb shoot.
Hey sorry you miss the Guy Fieri shoot. And man he was an animal.

Yea ... we can go with FTW , but in terms of a lot of the reader mail I get in regard to airlines ... I get a lot more WTF than FTW ...
... we'll start with this, landing in Philly from a London flight, changing planes, 117 minutes for connecting baggage to begin to come out on the baggage carousel, and coming out on two different carousels as people need to collect their bags, then head through customs with their bags, check their bags back in, then head through TSA to make their connections. 117 minutes tends to lend itself to WTF over FTW :0) |

Will make sure I got SS at the top of my list so on those bad days I can always come here to laugh my ass off. Amazing how many comedians are in here instead of at a comedy club.
That is one thing I always LOVE about the newspaper biz, nobody in other working place knows how to laugh and have fun out of nothing as newspapers photographers. Too much free time. Plus how LOYAL and long LASTING those friendships are formed. I had met some incredible down to earth folks in here who had worked with me on some photo shoots and they cracked me up with their jokes. And if they are ever in the LA area they know they have a place to stay and a hot supper in my home. Heck did I just write that? OK ok… that is if I am in town. Better get my phone off the hook now and my mobile on silent motion.
