New Mac needs new CF reader

->> I've unpacked my new MacPro at work and of course Apple has made Firewire 400 obsolete.

What CF reader do you all recommend? I'm thinking a FW800 reader would be good. Please chime in with your favorite reader.

->> You could get a new reader which will probably be faster than what you have. But FW800 is backwards compatible with FW400. All you need is a cable or adapter. Here are just a couple examples:

->> You can still use FW 400 readers. You just need a cable that has a FW 800 connector on one end and A FW 400 connector on the other. FW 800 on a MacPro is backward compatible to FW 400.

->> This is my current reader of choice:

It comes with both a FW 800 to FW 800 cable and a FW 400 to FW 800 cable so you could for example still use it with older computers that only have FW 400 in a pinch.

->> I second Derek, I love the LEXAR PRO FW800 reader. I like the LEXAR better than the Sandisk FW800 reader because it had two FW800 connectors and can be daisy chained.
