Compatibility issues with newer Nikon and older AF lens?

->> I made the switch to Canon back in the Mark IIn days and am considering switching back. I'm also goofy enough to ponder doing it gradually (with less of a hit on my cash flow), using older Nikon lenses I gave my daughter to go with new Nikon bodies.
Will I have any compatbility issues with using the older "push-pull" Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8 AF lens with a new Nikon body, such as a D300, D700 or D3?
I tried asking a Nikkor tech support rep, whose response could best be summed up as "Huh?" |

->> Nope, the only bodies that will have an issue with older lenses are:
D40, D40x, D3000, D5000.. anything without the AF motor in the body. |

| ->> Jeff I have that lens as a backup. It works just fine on the current bodies. |
