->> When you first bought your camera, did you turn it on and start shooting, or did you work through the menus and input your preferences first?
Maybe you could list some issues you're having? |

->> Like moving files, it copies instead of moving files, asks you twice if you really want to do something. I know there is a learnign curve, and I type something in the the question box and I get 50 FAQ's and not one is what I need. I will eventually figure it out, but the intitial impact of the difference from 98 to XP was much less.
And yes, when I bought my first N8008, D90, D90s, D4h, D100, D2h, and D700 I did turned them all on & started shooting. |

->> I'd say give it a chance. I would have to say that...from a Windows O/S perspective...this is the best operating system Microsoft has ever released. Usability is good. Performance is good. Compatibility has been good with everything I've run so far.
To some of your specific points;
1) Like moving files, it copies instead of moving files
---> depends. If dragging to a different folder on the same drive it moves. To another partition or physical drive, it copies. You can choose what you like clicing and dragging with the right mouse button instead of the left if you prefer. You can change this preference to your liking.
2) asks you twice if you really want to do something
---> again, a configurable option. User account control, confirm on delete, etc. |

I haven't seen any change in behavior from Windows XP or Vista to this... |
