Online portfolio - what software do you use?

->> I've been working on my website, and am wondering how others are displaying their portfolio online. I probably must say this first: I am not going to sign up for LiveBooks or any other hosting companies (I have absolutely nothing against LiveBooks or anyone - simply I am stuck with my current web host.)
My site is wordpress-based so anything that works with wordpress will be good (and of course the cheaper the better). Also, I speak PHP + MySQL so a little bit of tweaking will be no problem.
Is anyone using lightbox?

It hasn't been updated for 2 years, but still good? Or anything else to recommend?
Oh yeah, I do have a copy of PhotoShelter Survey Data (2009) so I will follow that.
Show me your online portfolio! Thanks.

| ->> Have you looked at ViewBook or Zenfolio for adding an album or portfolio? |

->> What is VewBook, Paul? I have seen Zenfolio briefly, but anything that treats wordpress as plug-in does not appeal to me. My approach is the other way around, and I am not going to change. Maybe I should have asked what wordpress plug-in is popular for online portfolio?

->> Here is a link to Viewbook
http://www.viewbook.com/
I am in the process of building an entire site with it so check back with me this time next week and I can no doubt share way too much info. If I have not succumbed to stress.
Not being an HTML guy I resort to the drag and drop, "what you see is what you get" approach to site building. Designing for Dummies, I know. I am building my own site only because my HTML guy retired. As I understand it you can use Viewbook to add albums and folios to any website built with just about any software.
Here is a link to my first build attempt www.PhotoActiveInc.com which I built through www.PhotoBiz.com and which I discovered has a lot of limitations. |
