->> I just got here to start a long Euorpean trip and my multi-selector button, (the outer plastic dime-sized button on my Nikon D300) fell off.

Any thoughts on someone in S/W Germany that might be able make this simple repair?

I will throw a handful of Euros in all the fountains in Rome in your name if you can help...!

Thanks,

bert

->> I recall there being a camera shop in Heidelberg. I think there was also one rothenberg. There's definitely a few in Frankfurt... But I'd imagine an Internet search is likely your best bet.

->> You could contact Nikon NPS in Germany:
nps@nikon.de or call to Nikon Germany:
http://nikoneurope-de.custhelp.com/app/phone

The number is (If German isn't your best language):
09001 - 225564 (costs 0,24 euro a min and the extra costs of a mobile phone)
The number is without the country-code, if you use your own cell-phone (I guess not, it would be realy expensive)
You could reach them from 9a.m. to 17p.m. from monday untill friday

->> You didn't mention if the selector button was lost, but if you still have it you can loosely tape it back on and it should at least function. This used to happen all the time with the D1 series.

->> Rothenberg shop is more of a drugstore, but they are knowledgable. I've had them burn DVDs for me on a couple of trips.
