->> Maybe it's a file permissions problem or files might be corrupted? Does PM or any other program have any luck changing it?
If they are corrupt but the image data is still coming through you can just save them to a different location (using save as...) and it should regenerate all the file headers and everything... Or you could copy and paste the image into a new file it would get rid of any corrupted metadata that would be preventing changes?
