Anyone familiar w/Classic Camera Workshop/Steve Serota in PA

->> Is anyone familiar with Classic Camera Workshop (www.camera-care.com), or Steve Serota the owner of Classic Camera Workshop in Huntingdon Valley, PA?

A friend of mine in Australia has sent them a somewhat rare lens for custom modification and it seems Mr Serota has passed away this past winter. While things are being settled with Classic Camera Workshop my friend needs to get his lens back and send it elsewhere for the modification.

If anyone is familiar with Classic Camera Workshop and what is going on since Mr. Serota passed away can you drop me a line?

Thanks

->> Wow that's a name I haven't heard in a while. Sorry to hear about his passing, he was a great guy! I used to buy from his Camera Care shop on Arch (or Race) Street in Philly many moons ago. Great store and a great staff.

->> Steve,

I called around today and no one locally knows what going on over there since Steve passed away. All I can say is tell him to keep sending emails.

If he does get a hold of them and they don't want to ship back the lens. I'm local so I'll go over and pick it up for him and ship it myself.

Good Luck

rob

->> Robert,

Thanks, I appreciate it.

He'd like the lens shipped to me so I can bring it up to Midstate Camera Repair up in Rhode Island with my gear, but I appreciate the offer.

I am going to try the Society of Photo Technologists ... which he was a member ... and see if they have any answers.

Thanks again, I appreciate it!
