->> If you're CPS you can get a loaner, but generally repairs through CPS only take a few days. Out on a Monday back by Friday usually. If not CPS try renting from LensRentals.com...good people there.

->> I had a great experience with CPS. It was a shutter replacement on a 1D and I had a backup, so time wasn't THAT crucial, but it was FAST. As my first experience with CPS, I'd say it's worth the $$.

I asked them for a Mark III or Mark IV for an upcoming week that I will need the extra body (want to see if the hype is true for the IV). I'd only been a CPS member for about a month. Well, I asked for 7 days and they emailed me, saying to expect a Mark IV on the 14th and to return it on the 27th. Again, exceeded my expectations. The more expensive body and an extra 6 days.

From my experience so far - highly recommended and fast turn-around on my recent repair. The discount didn't hurt, either.

I rent lenses from www.lensprotogo, just outside of Boston.
