->> Wow. This is amazing stuff from my buddy Stretch Ledford. It's worth watching and reading the entire thing. First off it's amazing how much power these minimum wage rent-a-cops are being given but the most troubling part is the sworn police officers siding with them.

| ->> Very sad, but this isn't limited to just the Miami system. I've had cops called on my multiple times in NYC for taking pictures in the subway even though they state VERY clearly on the MTA website that anyone is allowed to photograph as long as tripods aren't used. |

"The general public is permitted to use hand-held cameras to take photographs, capture digital images, and videotape within public areas of CTA stations and transit vehicles for personal, non-commercial use."
I'd say 50% of the time I've photographed on or near CTA stations I've been told to stop by private security or CTA employees, citing non-existent rules. Only once were police called. Having a printed copy of their policy in my bag has helped out in most incidents fortunately. |
