->> I love it. Extra photos. More leading off's. Videos. More content. Say bye to paper subscription and hello digital one.
I also love the way the USA today and wall street journal apps work. I would love to see more and more publications months route. And charge for it! I'd subscribe for sure. |

->> I like TIME on my iPad, but hate that I cannot subscribe, I have to buy it issue by issue.
For newspapers, I have become a big fan of the Financial Times App. The App is pretty much exactly like their paper, including the 'salmon coloured' paper. |

->> I was at a conference recently and saw the mockup for a subscription service for both Time and SI. Should be soon.

->> Seems as though most iPad owners are quite happy with their purchase ... 6k owners were surveyed on their impressions recently ... this could bode well for content creators like we photographers ... especially if digital version subscriptions like Sports Illustrated, Time and other publications become popular ... more opportunities to sell images, rather than clients expecting something for nothing. I was particularly intrigued that 69% said not having Flash "It isn't a problem at all"

| ->> As soon as SI allows me to change my paper subscription to a digital one, I'm on board. Until then, I'll just use my iPad for other things. |

| ->> Yep, what James said....I'd be happy to give up the paper version for the iPad version...but I don't want both. |

| ->> Do you get to keep a "library," so to speak, of all the issues you buy? Can they be backed up? |

| ->> I love my iPad and the experience reading newspapers and magazines, but the publishers are going to shoot themselves in the foot with their current pricing model. It's not sustainable. Why pay $4 per issue for a digital download when I can subscribe for a full year of print for not a whole lot more? It cost much less to upload a digital image than to print and mail printed copies. Allow for a reasonable subscription rate to increase subscribers and cut down on expenses - an easy business plan. I don't think they get it. |
