| ->> Does anyone know if there is a USB Hard Drive that can go between a MAC and PC without being reformatted. For I use a MAC and a friend does a PC and we are trying to figure out a way to get these big files to each other without having to burn tons of DVDs |

| ->> Format the drive on the PC ... and the Mac will be able to recognize and mount the drive ... the only problem will be that the drive name may not be what you are accustomed to on the Mac .... it may appear as "Untitled" ... and may also ask if you want to format it when mounted the first time ... just decline the request and you should be ok. Make sure to test it our before any important deadline critical work to verify it is working for you. |

| ->> Or format the drive with your Mac using Disk Utility and the MS-DOS format option. |

->> I use this: http://www.paragon-software.com/home/ntfs-mac/
It allows you to use NTFS format (both read and write) for your Mac. This will also allow you to copy over files bigger that 4GB, which is a limitation of the FAT32 format. |
