| ->> I just upgraded to LR v3 and deleted all my old v2 catalog backups after making a new backup in v3 and it freed up 40 gigs of HD space! Just thought I'd spread the word if anyone wants to take a look at their files. |

->> OT question, but are you seeing a huge difference between 2 and 3?

->> Yes ... some users are experiencing performance woes with LR3 ... although many are not experiencing any slowness problems with LR3 ... Adobe is working on the problem.
The new process version 2010 is much better in rendering fine detail, especially in shadows and as mentioned, the new noise reduction is a vast improvement and in many cases rivals other plugin options available ... keep in mind, you have to manually choose to convert any legacy files to the new process version ... though any new images imported into LR3 will automatically use process v2010.
Also ... the lens correction features do quite a nice job ...
All-in-all ... I think LR3 is quite an improvement (almost lightyears in difference over v1.4) .... well worth the effort to download the trial and check it out .... |
