->> I have a Canon 1d Mark II that is having a lot of issues with error 01 because of worn contacts. I'll probably have to send it in, but I can't go without it for about three weeks because of a trip I'm taking.
I wold appreciate hearing any info anyone has about this. It would be great to know what I should be expecting in terms of repair cost, as well as if this is available for purchase as a spare part (there are screws on either side of the pins but I can't tell if removing them would allow the removal of the whole unit or just a plastic cover). It would be great it it were possible to fix independently of canon. Also, I was wondering if there is any way to temporarily sidestep the problem. The camera will stop autofocusing, show "00" as the aperture, and stop shooting until I turn it off and back on. This has been happening more and more often, so a temporary fix would be great.
Thanks for the info! |
