How to photograph oil in the studio.

->> This has nothing to do with the BP oil spill. Was wondering if anyone has ever photographed motor oil in the studio? I didn't realize how dark the oil becomes the more thicker it gets. Any suggestions. I am now trying to light it from the bottom through a glass container.

| ->> Usually it's easier to show bubbles than oil itself; I've never seen it lit from underneath, only backlit. |
