->> Folks don't know if this topic has been covered here but where is the best place to get a video camera set up rig for either the 7d or 5d mark 2?
I want the whole set up with the hand grip and shoulder set 4 handheld operation. Including the mic/audio set up, rails, indifocus. I would prefer the carbon fiber roads and of course the monitor.
Is there a way to get something like this under 4k. I already got the camera and the fluid tripod.
Also any good place to get a set up of hot lights. Maybe 3 or 4 lights.
TIA

->> Rent or Buy?
For hot lights, what are you looking to do?
Kino Flos are nice, lightweight panels and easy to rig up in ceilings, etc.. or put on C stands. Ballast is separate from the units. You can get tungsten or daylight balanced bulbs as well.

FilmTools has lots of good lighting stuff:

->> Shoulder Mount / Matte Box / Rails - Red Rock Micro.
STAY AWAY FROM CAVISION. They aren't inexpensive, they're cheap!
Monitor - SmallHD (you won'y find a better looking image on any other monitor)
Lights - KinoFlo. LED's are great, but expensive. ARRI's and Lowel's are less expensive, but heavy and hot. Kino's are right in between.
Follow Focus - Red Rock Micro or Legos (http://www.cinema5d.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=780)
Last, but not least, the viewfinder. Zacuto. Nothing else. |

| ->> There is a guy from Korea on eBay that a ton of cinema5d people have been buying from. Really nice quality stuff from what I've heard for the price, but can be slow on shipping or uber fast. |
