Best way to handle web print sales?
Andrew Nelles, Photographer

->> I recently finished up a project and have been receiving many requests for prints from the subjects, families, etc. The volume is more than what I'd have time to run off my printer.

I know there are third party companies that handle print sales for situations like this. Something where I can set a web gallery for clients to order off of. This isn't normally a concern of mine and I know nothing about the options. Anyone have any suggestions? This will probably be the only time I need to do this.

Thanks in advance.

->> Andrew,

Look at PhotoShelter, Printroom, Exposure Mgr, Smugmug. There are bunches of them but these will do what you want.

->> Since this is probably a 1 time deal, I'm hoping to not pay a significant annual fee, any free ones that are worth while? I may just have to bite the bullet and cough up a few bucks on this.

->> PhotoShelter. Make the investment. It goes far beyond simply web sales and if used properly will generate revenue and streamline your photo operation.

I have a discount code for Photo Brigade users....feel free to send me an email if you'd like to save a few $.

Never look at purchases for your business as simply coughing up money.....it's an investment that will improve your business and eventually your revenue stream.

->> Zenfolio is great too. I used Photoshelter and Exposure Manager and switched last year. It seems that every month they are making changes that we (the users) have requested. Plus the SEO part of it is great as well.
