->> He will be missed. At Dodger Stadium last night when they announced his passing, Vin Scully got on Dodgervision and gave a touching memorial that almost brought me to tears. The whole stadium stood and cheered to honor a great person, whom I'm lucky enough to have had the pleasure of meeting many times as a child at UCLA Basketball games.

Also i noticed Keith Birmingham updated his page to post a beautiful shot he took Wooden holding a basketball:

->> John Wooden was always a huge influence, his teachings/books/etc. in my coaching. Every interview I ever had he came up in my answers, his quotes were in my play books, great man!

->> One of my favorite quotes from John Wooden.
"Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are." - John Wooden (may he rest in peace)
