1D Mark II underexposing (just got new shutter from CPS)

->> I just got my 1D Mark II back from CPS after having the shutter replaced.
Now, on aperture or shutter priority mode, every image is coming out underexposed - regardless of lens combination.
Tried a 300mm f/2.8, 300mm f/2.8 + 1.4x TC II and the trusty 70-200mm f/2.8. I went from wide open to 5.6, etc and it seems that the histogram just stops on the right side.
Anyone else have this issue ever?
The only way to get a correct brightness histogram, and a correct image, is to set it to M and overexpose it (according to the viewfinder) by almost +2.
I shoot sports in crappy light sometimes and Av comes in handy.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. |

->> Jason,
The same thing happened to me when I sent a mark III in last year. It was underexposing by about 2/3 stop. I sent it back and they adjusted and shipped it for free.
In AV you could simply dial in exposure compensation as a workaround. That was what I did for about a week before I could return it. |

| ->> Thanks, guys. Looks like I'm digging out the CPS labels and following Peter's advice until I get a break. The good news is the shutter was cheap and they did turn it around fast. |

| ->> Jason, I had a recent situation with CPS in Jamesburg, NJ that involved the repair of my 500mm f4 IS lens. I had to return it to CPS THREE times before it was repaired correctly. If you are dealing with this same factory service center, I suggest that you contact John DiMauro at 732-521-7888. He is the Specialist Product Support Sr. at that service center. He FINALLY got my situation straightened out. Good Luck. |

| ->> Ron, that is exactly where the shutter repair was done. Thanks for the heads up. I'll call him. |
