Great read: Interesting use of iPad and 5D MKII

->> I'm the furthest thing in the world from a tech junkie but I found this interesting and useful. If you haven't yet read this, it's a blog post by Reuters freelancer Scott Audette. He describes, in detail, how he used an iPad and a Canon 5D MKII to capture, retrieve, edit and transmit shuttle images from the comfort his hotel.

The video in the blog post is quite interesting too, so be sure to check that out.

Thanks Scott.

->> Brian,
Pretty darn impressive if you ask me. Audette always seems to come up with some kind of special device. I believe he was the first to shoot the shuttle from that close with a custom designed rig that started the 5DMKII shooting video with the sound sensor as well.

Whats next?

->> Did a jailbreak on my iPad allowing wireless transmission without a router or WiFi using the Eye-Fi Pro X2 card. I can supply details if interested. Software cost is $28.00, Eye-Fi card at $100.00 plus the cost of an Ipad.
