I once had the National Park Service use one of my images w/o permission and I found out about it by accident. I asked "Who took that picture?" and the lady lied and said "I did". Wow, they lied to my face! The NPS no less! You should have seen the look on her face when I showed her the original. |

->> Jim: That's the point. They should know better, OR they do and don't care. People only care when they get caught. What a great example these politicians are.

| ->> They do it because the chances of getting caught are usually low and if they do get caught, there are very few of us who have the means to pursue an infringement suit. They know they can get away with it and operate under the idea that it's better to ask forgiveness than permission. |
