->> How has photoshop cs5 been going for everyone who's used it? Is it buggy at all?
(if you are having problems, what OS + version, and are you 32 or 64 bit?) |

->> I'm happy with the upgrade, bit pricey at 240€ though... Its crashed unexpectedly a couple of times, but overall the new features help speed up my workflow. If you use Nik plugins and lucisart, they only run on 32 bit.
6.1 Camera raw is a cool feature that allows lens profiling ... more can be reviewed here... http://forums.adobe.com/community/cameraraw |

->> 32bit, not having any problems what so ever. Just edited a huge wedding in it last week and it ran smoothly. Though I do wish I had more ram in my computer.
32bit, iMac 20", 2gb of ram, 1tb 7200 drive, OS X 10.6.3 |

->> No problems here as well in both 32 bit and 64 bit on Mac 10.6.3.
Very pleased with many of the new features and the performance is quite an improvement over CS3 ..... |

| ->> Love the 64 bit running on win7, but it should be shipped with a new computer:) My computer now needs faster cpu and more RAM. |

| ->> Running on MB Pro, 10.5.8, 64 bit. If I have more than 15 images open, it is 50/50 that it crashes while editing. Runs fine on my PC in the 32 bit version. The new content aware feature is great for putting balls in....;-) |

->> Mark-
I've been looking at that feature myself. Seems great for wedding photography later on in life. Or fixing up myspace photos. |

->> Loving the new features of Camera RAW 6.1 - I'm able to do so much between Bridge and Camera RAW that actually dipping in to PS 'proper' is only needed for the final touches on an image.
I'm resisting the urge to upgrade right this minute despite the fact my trial expires in two days - don't want to splash cash that isn't spare at this exact moment, but also don't want to revert back to CS3... what's a guy to do?!?! |

What is new in Camera RAW 6.1? |

->> Love it so far...runs smoothly in 64-bit on Win 7, 2.2GHz quad-core AMD, 8GB RAM; also on my Intel Core 2 Duo laptop with 4GB RAM. Actually runs better than CS4.
Haven't tried the lens correction yet, but I have PT Lens for that already so not a big deal. I like the content-aware fill - it's not perfect but it's a new weapon and generally pretty good. (And NO, I don't intend to use this for the dwindling number of journalistic assignments I get...but it is very helpful in commercial work.) |
