Anatomy Of A SportsShooter Thread

->> The following is the break down of how many SportsShooter threads seem to devolve into totally unrelated topics from those who can't seem to stay on topic.
We're all guilty of it, except maybe Mark Loundy…but anywhere, here we go, the Anatomy Of A SportsShooter Thread
Post 1 - I need suggestions for vibrant white seamless roll
Post 2 - I have been happy with Savage seamless paper
Post 3 - Adorama's self-branded seamless is pretty good at a fraction of the cost
Post 4 - I like black seamless
Post 5 - Yea, black seamless looks better than white seamless
Post 6 - I like to shoot coloured seamless and choose Nikon when I shoot it
Post 7 - Have you looked into a grey muslin?
Post 8 - Muslin is for losers
Post 9 - I must be a loser, I use muslin
Post 10 - I think calling a background Muslin is insulting to people in the Middle East
Post 11 - The background is Muslin not Muslim you idiot
Post 12 - I think the term Middle East coined by Imperial Western European cartographers is offensive
Post 13 - Western European? I've been to Germany and it was great, plus Leica is German
Post 14 - You know the best Leica's came from Canada, not Germany, when the company sent its Jewish employees to Canada to flee the Nazi's
Post 15 - Speaking of Nazi's, I love Mel Brook's "Hitler on Ice" short at the end of History of the World Part I
Post 16 - Oh yea, I wish he had actually made the Jews In Space movie follow up that was at the end of History of the World
Post 17 - You know in Mel Brook's History of the World Part I there were a lot of togas in the Greek scenes … I bet a white toga would be a good substitute for white seamless paper
Post 18 - No, a toga would let to much light pass through it and the wrinkles would cause shadows
Post 19 - You could iron the white toga instead of getting white seamless paper
Post 20 - Just use a green screen action instead
Post 21 - (FROM THE ORIGINAL POSTER) Thanks, I am looking at the Savage paper. I really only need white seamless paper
Post 22 - When you light white seamless paper you should really use Alien Bees strobes, they are great
Post 23 - No, I like Lumedyne over Alien Bees, but I have heard the Paul C. Buff strobes are great also
Post 24 - Are you using any gels to colour your white seamless paper?
Post 25 - How are you attaching the gels to your strobes ?

Post 32 - Glad you got what you needed
Post 33 - You would have been happier with black seamless
Post 34 - Fine ask a questuion on here and don't take our advice for grey muslin
Post 35 - I hope you didn't sign a WFH when you shot that photo on white seamless

Post 71: I just switched to Nikon, who wants to buy my old Canon gear that works perfectly...wink, wink. |

For those worried I am not busy enough & had time to write it, I wrote it while on hold with Apple Tech Support regarding an unrelated issue. |

->> There may be others but I'm taking my shot as the grammar/spelling police noting "Leica's" and "Nazi's" as a couple of the mistakes people often make since the sentence refers to plural and not possessive (posts 14 and 15). And, none of your sentences have periods!
But it is one of the funnier things I've read in a while. |

see Post #4 ... "->> I'm waiting for Mark Loundy or David Cantor to comment on the one consistent grammatical error in the original post that was included just to drive them nuts (no, not he typos, but the consistent plural grammatical error :0) )"
The apostrophe making words plural is the error that was intentional. I am sure there are other typos (I have found a few), this the apostrophe error was intentional. |
