->> Saw this nugget at the bottom of an art gallery photo I took:
"I was not thrilled by the photograph that you put in the review! Who shoots 2 dimensional work at an angle totally distorting the piece? also what an oversight not to include a photo of West's work in a two person show? I'd call that pretty shoddy journalism!
Fight provincialism! You can do better Cost Weekly!"

| ->> They should install a large Hoodman over each piece of artwork. Ya know, so you're viewing it at the correct angle while in the gallery. |

"I think I made the squiggly lines look far better than they did in person. I did you a favor with that photo!" |

->> "Fight provincialism!" How about fighting snooty self appointed photo critics? Seroiusly, head to Starbucks and keep dazzling high school girls with your keen wit and sockless docksiders.
Nic, why does your paper not offer 3-D photos?????? |

| ->> I'm a believer the photojournalist principles myself. I like people in my photos. Someone looking at the photo would have it make sense to shoot it at an angle. Since it is a photo of the painting, not the furniture in the background, my opinion is that is a a dull photograph, using an ancient HS technique of tilting the angles in an attempt to add excitement to an otherwise dull, lazy photograph. |

I never ceased to be amazed by the audacity of web comments and people behind web handles... |
