->> Hey...I thought that I could shoot tethered using the following combo:
Nikon D700/D300
OSX (10.6.3)
PhotoMechanic 4.6.4
But I can't seem to figure it out...was I wrong? |

->> Hmmmm....I don't like that price. $180 to transfer images to the hard drive.
If that's the missing piece I'll pass...being tethered is another excuse to trip over the cable and break my camera or laptop anyway ;) |

->> Delane,
You might prefer the price for sofortbild. It's available for free at: http://www.sofortbildapp.com. Includes use of Live View on some cameras. Nikon users only though.
To start a rumor, perhaps his work at Apple means an iPad version is in the works? |

| ->> Let me know DB if it works well-- I had to replace pc to mac and can't find my key to the original nikon software--AND I have an event in this afternoon-_AACK. I don't want to spend another $180 just because I changed systems... |

| ->> Does anyone have suggestions for a tethered app for OS X 10.4? Sofortbild looks great but it is for 10.5 |

->> I use Sofortbild, but it keeps crashing 1-2 times on a 4 hour shoot.
That happened over a variety of different macs with different OS X version.
But it's free and works well beside the occasional crashes. |

->> Jeff...thanks for the heads up on Sofortbild; the 1.1 version that's out right now is seems solid and does what it's supposed to do...
...glad I remembered this thread and searched it out. |
