LUCEO STUDENT PROJECT AWARD - Deadline May 15

->> This year Luceo is offering a $1000 Student Award to help fund an ongoing body of work from a student photographer. The award is drawn from a fund we began developing this year with ongoing percentage-based contributions from our member's editorial and commercial commissions. The basic idea was a matter of putting our money where our mouths are in order to support significant, un(der)funded work.
The deadline for submissions is the 15th. More information is available on the Luceo website at http://luceoimages.com/about/luceo-images-student-award/ and also on the apad blog. Questions can be directed to studentaward@luceoimages.com
Selection for the award will be handled in June at LOOKBetween by an independent panel. Finalists will be announced before LOOK. The judges panel will be announced this week on our blog.
At any rate, feel free to pass on word to students and university programs.

->> LUCEO Student Project Award Deadline Extended 24 Hours
Due to difficulty with some student submissions, we are extending the deadline for our Student Project Award by 24 hours to make sure that all those who had trouble can get their work in. So if you have not gotten your application in or if you had some difficulty, you have until 11:59:59 p.m. Sunday, May 16 to do so. If you have any trouble with the server or any other technical issues or questions, please contact: studentaward@luceoimages.com.
We will be narrowing the submissions down to 10 finalists over the next week and announcing those students on our site shortly. These ten will be judged by our select panel: Amber Terranova (PDN), Michael Wichita (AARP), and Mike Davis (Editor at Large) during the LOOKbetween event this June. The winner will receive $1000 and mentorship with one LUCEO member for their project. |
