I don't know what to do, I think I'm going to make extremely detailed sketches of all my images. I came across this article http://tinyurl.com/2c97fbo about the library of congress and the work they do to restore and save images, particularly movies. A lot of what they are doing is transferring from volatile negs to more archival medium.
