A cool idea, particularly for those in smaller markets who may not have fellow pj's around who are experienced in video, you can post to the site and get some ideas of how to improve. A friend of mine and I just launched "Finding the Frame," a video feedback site dedicated helping newspaper multimedia producers become better storytellers. We have lots of video and multimedia specialists willing to critique your work. Check it out. Read the story reviews; upload a story link to be critiqued or just comment on other peoples' work. I've been lucky enough to win a bunch of state-wide awards in our news circulation division recently but it's just been a lot of trial and error, not ever have really had 'training,' and all using a Canon G9 (ha..ha..yes it's possible).
