->> Came across this on the Pbase forums after I got a 77mm stuck on my 80-200.
It sounds goofy and I probably look like a weirdo doing it at work, but trust me. it works very well:
1: Remove lens w/stuck filter from camera.
2: Hold lens in one hand, firmly, holding the lens barrel/filter mount in place.
3: Put shoe on other hand.
4: Press lens (filter) against bottom of shoe, turn to remove.
5: Clean filter and lens, return to shooting.

| ->> I had this problem once and did some research and found that you can put a thick rubberband around the stuck filter to use for grip then simply turn it off. It worked perfect and I now keep that big band in my bag at all times. |
