->> My girlfriend worked on Kel on Earth (a show on Bravo), and in one of the episodes (the finale, I think) they showed a production crew taping a commercial and I'm pretty sure there were some 5D MKII's being used. I couldn't see the cameras well enough to tell the make/model. But I'm not surprised anymore by videographers using these cameras.
The thing I'm surprised about, is I haven't heard any worries or complaints about videographers becoming still photographers or gripes from videographers about still photographers taking work off their plate. |

One thing that seems to keep the griping to a minimum is the video world has better union protection of their jobs so the "I'll do it for a credential" job application process is not as common - yet. |

| ->> That is Pretty cool. Seems more and more companies are using these cameras for video. |

| ->> Back about a month ago the intro for SNL was shot using a Canon 5DMKII. They were on the Brookyln Bridge. Lockheed Martin is also using the 5DMKII for some of its video production |

| ->> I am at NAB right now and HD DSLR stuff is EVERYWHERE! It is hard to find a booth or session that doesn't have either LED lighting, 3D or DSLR stuff. I also heard Alex Buono, who is the Director of Photography for SNL, speak last night and he shared two of the new SNL commercial spoofs that were shot with 5DmkII's and 7D's. It was their first studio use of the cams. One of the spots was cut together from a RED One and a 7D and you couldn't tell the difference at all. |
