->> Hope you guys and gals don't mind me posting this. I figured it being a sports-related site and all, folks would appreciate it, especially if they ever had the chance to visit or shoot at the old stadium.
Anyway, as follows are a couple of links from the DMN's coverage of the implosion yesterday. While I'm biased since I was one of the shooters on scene, I think we nailed it; I am super proud and humbled to have been a part of the package. A lot of pre-planning went into this shoot, and I think it shows.

Cheers, and hope you all enjoy.

| ->> pretty cool, the countdown then the boom-boom-boom pre-explosions taking out the beams inside reminded of a rock concert. Maybe the start to KISS? |

->> I was a little boy with a dad who was a huge Cowboys fan - thus so too were my brother and I. I was maybe 10 years old and we were on a family vacation in TX and we went to visit Cowboys Stadium. My dad sweet-talked some security guy into letting us in the stadium fora quick tour and we got photos of us there. It was like we were visiting a cathedral. A few days later I met Tony Dorsett at some mall and got his autograph. Seeing Cowboys stadium come down brought back many memories.
Nice work GJ! |

->> Wow.... I'm actually going to miss the place. I shot a few games there including the last one there against the Ravens and saw a few games there over the years. I even got to stand on the STAR and do my TO impression with my 49ers sweatshirt on before a game there.
It was a dump of a stadium but it had a ton of character..... I guess now San Francisco has the worst stadium.
Good job on covering it.

| ->> As a long time Cowboy's fan I'm kind of sadden to see it go. I have many found memories of Tom Laundry and Roger Staubach, Tony Dorsett, Drew Pearson, Too Tall Jones, Randy White and the boys. |

->> GJ, fantastic job by you and your staff...love the frame of the girl seemingly in tears with the classic Landry hat. Glad I had a chance to stand on the star once as well while the 'Boys had their way with the Bucs a few Thanksgivings ago.
Not to hijack or divert the thread, but since people reading this will likely appreciate the blowing up part, the Cowboys website has a pretty cool panoramic video view from INSIDE the stadium as it was imploded:

Again, much apologies if this is out of line. |

| ->> I can't believe it's actually gone. I can remember when it first opened to huge fanfare, it was state-of-the-art, the ONLY place in Dallas to watch a football game. I have seen many Cowboy games and even high school games there. Great games, legendary coaches and players; I just can't believe they blew it up. Seems like only yesterday it opened. |

| ->> Unbelievable that the stadium completed its existence without Drew Pearson ever being inducted into the ring of honor. Lots of fond memories there. Now it's "the house that Jerry killt." |
