I went to rename some files of jpg images and after i did that some change to .tmp extensions but are still jpegs. Is there any way to get the .tmp off. The existence of files with the ".tmp" extension suggests that the process was interrupted. It's further likely you were unable to rename them because such temporary files are often read-only and/or locked by the application using them. I have to use bootcamp to switch over to windows and delete the .tmp files before I upload via FTP. I haven't figured a way to take care of this while still on the MAC side.
