| ->> Thanks for posting, Butch. I'm excited about the all the watermarking features as well as the tethered shooting. I wish the tethered shooting supported the 1D Mark III and 1D Mark IV, but I have to believe those cameras will be included in the final release. |

| ->> Tethered works with the 1D Mark II (just tested it), so I'm sure those are supported as well. I think the video was just showing some of the cameras it supports. |

| ->> Thanks, guys. I was basing my comment on the video which didn't list the III and IV. Glad to hear that's not the case. |

| ->> Can it ingest multiple cards at once? |

->> Just done some testing on the new (now fully working) noise reduction.
It is working really good!
So good that i do not se any need for any other tools to reduce noise.
(With LR2.x i been using Neat Image for noise reduction, slowing down my work flow). |

| ->> Daniel, that is what I was doing as well (actually running an action using Imagenomic) and it was a pain in terms of the workflow. I haven't tested the new Beta, but if it is that good, that would be awesome. Anyone know if this will be available as an upgrade from LR2? I just got LR2 a few months ago for a great price and upgrading for say $99 is one thing, but if I had to go back out and buy LR3 for $300ish I would be bummed. |

->> I agree Daniel, I love the results I was getting with Noise Ninja and Topaz Denooise ... however it required generating an extra TIFF file to apply the noise reduction.
With further testing, tweaking and refining the available adjustments in LR3 ... one less task that needs outside help .... I always seem to smile more when my workflow becomes less cumbersome ....
Chuck ... never tried importing from multiple cards at once ... I usually save my images from the cards to the appropriate directory on an external drive via Finder and then import all files from a shoot/event at once into the LR catalog .... |

->> Randy ... it would be an upgrade from LR2 to LR3 ... not sure on the price point, Not even sure if Adobe has finalized that yet ... historically, they have been in the area of about $99 ... but with the current economy ... who knows?
Keep in mind LR3 is still in the Beta stage and isn't available for purchase yet ... so release dates are up in the air ... you are welcome to download and use the beta as you wish ... although they go to great lengths to remind users it is a beta and recommend you don't rely on it 100% for production work ... |

->> When it comes to ingesting my suggestion is to use PM (Photo Mechanic).
Personally i don't ingest att all.
I use PM to go select images directly on the memory card, and only copy those i want to use to my computer.
(Applying IPTC stationary during copying).
Much, much faster than ingesting with LR.
After images are copied i do captioning with PM since PM gives me opportunity to do that much faster than what LR allows.
Then i import images to LR.
(Using LR as the default external editor for PM, allowing me to import selected images with keyboard shortcut [CMD] + [E] ).
Since i always shoot in RAW i made my own presets that is applied to the images.
Then i just need to do some cropping and eventually some smaller adjustments on the images.
Then i export images.
This way i can do selecting and captioning the fastest possible way (as far as i know by now).
And also speed up RAW-conversion with LR.
(Using presets for this is practically the same thing as batch editing in PhotoShop).
Also letting me have my images well organized inside LR.
If you want to work with PM and LR together it's important to have the right metadata settings in PM.
You can find the right settings here:
