Another disheartening story about a photo legend...

->> Definitely a sad story about the state of affairs in photography. I mean, this guy is a legend. There is more to this, I am sure, but still a sad story.

->> Honestly, there were so many contradictions in the article, I'm not sure I understood it. My impression is that it exhibits the sad state of affairs of our contemporary culture. It seems a little strange that all those family members "tried to help." Somehow things got so bad that the state was forced to interdict them...and all of a sudden, when they learned they couldn't just pass them off and let the state pick up the bill for their care the family gets a lawyer to protect the assets...so they can "ensure" it's used for the their "well being."

Maybe I'm a cynic. But, reading between the lines....It was too much trouble for any family members to help that poor couple. As soon as someone learned there was substantial value in the photographs the family realized the errors in their ways.
