->> Regardless of whether this might be "off topic" (can't imagine anything relating to Eddie Adams being in that category), but I found out something today that should immediately make me the highest paid photographer in the world - HA!
My great uncle was married to Eddie's sister and my mother's best friend went to school with him.
Hmmmm.... now how to use this to my advantage?? |

| ->> You can use the connection by inspiring yourself through studying his work and the work of all those who he influenced over his vast career, by modeling yourself like Eddie to be a smart and savvy businessman, and by giving back as he did through his imagery and workshops. |

->> Knowing the town and environment where he came from intimately, I agree with you 100%. It is an amazing story and one that should inspire anyone who ever picks up a camera with the intent of capturing any lasting image.
I actually found this out when mentioning that he was from the area to a family member. We were talking about photography and some of the most memorable images. The image from Vietnam came up and I was informed of the connection.
To those that knew him here, he was just Eddie - according to them. He came from a blue-collar, steel town and had that work ethic throughout his life, in my opinion.
A very small world. |
