Framing at Events??

->> I know we have had discussions of onsite/online/printing/ordering etc but has anyone offered framing services? I don't mean custom colored mats etc just a ready made frame with mat.

I also don't expect to ship these, these would be delieverd at the event. I figure shoot day one, get order, process, frame and deliver a day or two later at the event.

Would like to hear what others have experienced.

Jim

->> Jim,
If you are going to do this - I would highly recommend a standard frame i.e. black with white matt etc so you can purchase in bulk and have a standard work flow - also showing a few images in frames helps to sell bigger prints.

I have found people do not realize how good a 16x20 looks when frames with a simple frame and matt compared to the standard 4x6. when Im started doing this, sales of 8x10's increased dramatically.

Good luck

->> Jim, logistics of taking a lot of stock, paying for it upfront, and selling on spec....worth a shot. PLEASE let us know how it works out.
