Nikon 400/2.8 lens hood help

->> Our paper owns a Nikon AF-S 400/2.8 D IF-ED lens that lost the HK-25 lens hood several years ago.

I have the opportunity to buy a used HK-27 lens hood for a AF-S 400/2.8 D IF-ED II (the next version after ours).

According to the stats for the lenses found at:
http://www.photosynthesis.co.nz/nikon/lenses.html#400 it seems the lenses are the same diameter and length.

My question is: Does anyone know if the HK-25 and the HK-27 are interchangeable and able to fit?

I know it doesnt answer your question, but it provides the 30 dollar alternative.
