->> I'll probably get blasted for saying this, but I can't get over the fact that there are so few professional full-time photographers here. Or maybe they just don't feel like responding to this thread. Does anybody else find this interesting? I don't have a problem with so many members not being full-time shooters, but I remember when you could post a question and get an answer about a situation from a shooter that had real world experience.
I'm not trying to sound like I don't want all of the part-timers here, I do, I am all for learning. It's just that when someone asks a question, or for some advice, it's amazing how many people jump to respond that really don't have the experience that might be needed to give a helpful answer. Too many times someone asks about a lens or an accessory and there are 2 or 3 responses saying that they don't own the item but they have read a decent review. Sorry, just a little venting going on. |

->> Just because you work the industry does not mean you have the answers.
I think plenty of questions are answered by people whether they are good or bad, that is up to the OP to decide and act on.
That would be like me saying some writer has no idea what and how the sport we call football works, yet every week he gives his opinion as fact when he writes about the team, transactions, players, etc...Just because someone does not have experience (ie playing the sport or coaching in it) does not mean they don't have a good opinion about it. |
